The 1st versions of this casting all had the name "Cheetah" on the chassis.
Mattel prematurely used the name before aquiring the rights, so the name was changed to "Python".

ReproductionsAs these cars have become quite valuable, various reproductions have been created. Buyer beware!
Around 24 high quality reproductions were created years ago by a collector.
Some cheaply created knockoffs are also known to exist.
